There are many genealogy and family history related meetings, seminars and conferences that take place locally throughout the year. We will be posting those we know about and if you have others, please let us know so we can post them. We are also posting local genealogical meetings.

Genealogy DNA Workshop

Interested in taking a DNA test to learn more about your family history, but don't know which one you should choose? Join the Honey Grove Preservation League, Saturday, March 24, at 10:00 a.m., in the Crockett Room of the Honey Grove Library and Learning Center for an introduction to DNA testing. A simple explanation of DNA, the kinds of tests available, what the results can tell you, and the differences between the companies offering DNA tests will be presented.
